The Atlas Kasbah Ecolodge Morocco is the first accommodation in North Africa to have been granted the prestigious World Responsible Tourism Award as a recognition of its proactive ecotourism practices.
In 2016, it won the COP22 Tourism & Climate Award.
Opened in 2009, it was built with a view to promoting ecotourism in Morocco and protecting and proud-sharing the Berber heritage, that of the owner, Hassan Aboutayeb who holds a Phd in Sustainable Development. High-standard comfortable rooms, ecotourism philosophy and pristine beauty oozes from every hand crafted corner of this 11 bedroom award-winning Kasbah.
The Atlas Kasbah Ecolodge Morocco has also received the Ministry of Tourism Responsible Tourism Award and the international Green Key Ecolabel. In 2011, it was recognized as 1 of 6 projects in the world by the International Network of Responsible Tourism & was awarded the ALM Ecology Trophy the same year.
