At the Atlas Kasbah Ecolodge, we always offer complimentary herbal tea after each meal. This helps unwind and each plant has many benefits and virtues : energizing, cleansing, digestive… It is also a natural source of antioxydants.
Follow this recipe of the Moroccan mint tea to enjoy its health benefits.
You need a kettle, a Moroccan teapot, 1/2 oz of gunpowder green tea, some sugar to taste, a handful of fresh (organic) mint sprigs already washed.
Put 1/2 oz of gunpowder green tea in a 4-cup teapot.
Add a cup of boiling water into the teapot, swirl the water and pour out the water, leaving the green tea leaves in the teapot.
Fill the teapot with boiling water.
Let the teapot simmer on low heat for 2-3 minutes to brew.
Add the mint leaves.
Add sugar to taste.
Pour in a glass 3-4 times so that the sugar mixes with the tea. For the last time, pour normally into the glass at the beginning and raise the teapot higher and higher above the glass as you pour. The tea should be frothy to be considered perfect.
